A second site is planned for IXSA to meet following objectives. Currently site surveys are in process. Based on two physical sites in two different locations each with a platform typically a Layer 2 switch and a Layer 3 router. This approach will provide ability for members to exchange traffic by initiating BGP-4 sessions between them and the exchange or directly with each other using a provided shared LAN as illustrated in the following diagram:
- Site is proposed in a different city to increase redundancy
- Different fiber ring for all members
